Davidson Plum

Davidson Plum (Ground) – 20gm

Davidson plum refers to several species of native Australian rainforest trees in the genus Davidsonia. The most commonly used varieties are:

• Davidsonia jerseyana – native to northern NSW
• Davidsonia pruriens – from North Queensland
• Davidsonia johnsonii – a rarer species

These trees produce dark purple to black plum-like fruit with vibrant, tangy red flesh. Despite the name, Davidson plums aren’t true plums — but they have a similar appearance and culinary potential.
